Our mission is to introduce children to the living God. We don't just want to tell stories or bring information about God. We want them to know Him and love Him.
At Planetkids, children are embraced into the training of the church as early as possible to train at an age related service, where they will bloom and respond to God?s Spirit.
All leaders are constantly searching for new ways of doing lessons, such as songs, memory verses and object lessons. It is this creativity that keeps the children wondering what will happen next. Impact is strengthened through the unpredictable. All leaders aim to deliver the Word of God in the power of the Spirit. The message never changes, but the methods do.
All Planetkids Leaders must:
- Be living a sound Christian walk so that the children who model themselves on leaders, don?t stumble
- Be loyal to the leadership of our Church
- Be committed to the vision and committed to creative Spirit filled teaching
- Be diligent in preparation for Sunday Services
- Attend all Church and Planetkids events such as leaders camp, kids camp, training nights and so on.
- Must arrive promptly 90 minutes prior to the service beginning for prayer in the main Children?s Church area each week
- Must assist in the running of the weekly duties for example story telling, singing, memory verse, and Pods
- Assist the team in leaving the teaching area tidy and not leave until the leader feels that it is neat
- Build relationships with team members

Pray about it
Ask God for guidance. Sometimes God makes a specific area of ministry clear, and other times His call is to step out in faith and just be available where there are needs. So not only pray for a specific calling, but also pray if He is simply saying to "GO!" and accept a challenge! Some of the most fulfilling ministries are those that force us to trust God in a new way like Isaiah when he said, ?Here I am, send me!?
Seek Confirmation
Some people struggle with God's calling, feeling that it is mysterious and that it evades them. In reality, discerning the Lord's Will is a matter of talking to Him and listening. God will confirm His Will in different ways. "My sheep that are my own hear and are listening to my voice; and I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27 Amplified Version)
Different ways the call can be confirmed
- God can speak through a sermon, prayer time, a worship experience, at the altar, a waiting period, a vision or dream, the prophetic word or a rheema scripture.
- After prayer, the idea still excites you (because it is what God wants you to do).
- Doors can open for you. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16:9, "A wide door for effective service has opened to me and there are many adversities."
- Someone can come with a Word or confirmation of a thought or desire.
- There will be a feeling of peace regarding the decision. It sits comfortably.
- Sometimes people run from the call of God, such as Jonah, but God continues to call even these.
- Others within the body of Christ will often recognise gifting and God's Hand.
- One of the great ways to confirm God's Hand is life experience. God uses education, hobbies, family life and past experiences. Common comments are, "I was trained all along for this", or "Because of my upbringing, I want to help others" or "I love working with kids"
- The call brings fulfilment and victories, yet it also provides opportunities for character growth through trials and defeats.
Planetkids provides a four-week trial period. It's hard work, but it is also one of the most rewarding areas to serve Jesus!
